The action against the act stigmatizing Hungarian civil society organizations has entered a new phase: on 22 October the Court of Justice of the European Union will conduct a public hearing on the case.
The Civil Liberties Union for Europe, the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL), the Hungarian Helsinki Committee and the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union jointly developed a legal analysis of Hungary's proposed law targeting independent civil society organisations.
The Hungarian Civil Liberties Union is urgently seeking amicus briefs to support its case against the Hungarian data retention law. The case is currently before the country's Constitutional Court.
